Volunteering & Garda Vetting process

Dolphin Swimming Club survives on the generosity of its volunteers and we encourage the parents of all children to get involved. Without volunteers the club won't be able to continue providing the level of service that our members have become accustomed to. At a minimum, we expect at least one parent of each swimmer to take the steps necessary to make them available to volunteer.

In order to get involved it is necessary for all adults wishing to volunteer to take the following steps:
1. Ensure that you and your swimmers have signed and handed in the Code of Conduct for Parents & Swimmers. Completed code of conduct forms should be handed to one of the committee members or sent to secretary@dolphinsc.ie Complete the Garda vetting process as outlined below:
E-Vet form
2. For volunteers under the age of 18 you will need to get a parent to complete the consent form

3. For anyone looking to take on a coaching role or an official gala role you will need to complete a Safeguarding - Level 1 classroom course (3 hrs). Anyone interested should send an email to secretary@dolphinsc.ie

Courses for Volunteers and Coaches

Dolphin Swimming Club are committed to improving the sport of swimming and we work our governing body Swim Ireland in a bid to educate and up skill our volunteers and coaches.

As part of our membership we would require that one family member would intake and participate in the one of the many Officials and Team Mangers courses which are being run through Swim Ireland.
